<p>This video discusses several different exercises that can help you get pain relief! I&#8217;ve been having pain in my upper back lately (between the shoulder blades) and that is because of hunching over, carrying heavy stuff (ie. bookbag) and other activities. I went to a physical therapist and he taught me these exercises. So now I am going to save you guys money and time from visiting one yourself! Now you can learn them for free in the comfort of your home :] these exercises have been working for me, so I hope you find them helpful too!<br />
YOU WILL NEED:<br />
-weights (optional. *Note: 1 bottled water ~ 1 lb.)<br />
-exercise ball<br />
-3-5 in foam roller<br />
EXERCISES:<br />
-Lie down vertically on roller, hands bent; stretch for 60 sec. (twice a day)<br />
-in same position stick chest out and dig elbows into ground. 2 sets of 10 reps (twice a day)<br />
-lie down on roller with it placed in the middle of your back and on the ground vertically. inch roller up back and stretch for 5 sec (twice a day)<br />
-lie down on stomach on exercise ball. keep hands in fist. extend arms, hold for 5 sec and bring forward. 3 sets of 12 reps (twice a day)<br />
-in same position bend arms with palms face down. hold for 5 sec, bring forward. 3 sets of 12 reps (twice a day).<br />
-ice back twice a day (or after workouts)</p>
<p>Update: School has started and I am in my Junior year of high school. Junior year is the most demanding academically and i am taking several challenging courses. This means I also need to balance my time with my schoolwork. I will try my best to upload 2 videos a month. (If that month is really stressful, I may upload just 1. If I have more time, such as holiday breaks, I will try to upload more). I hope you guys understand ?</p>

<p>Back exercises for golfers can have many benefits. If you experience back pain during practice, play, after play or daily, you will see a huge benefit from doing back exercises specific to golf.</p>
<p>Back Strength Exercises Are Critical</p>
<p>Most golfers experience back pain for just a couple of reasons. Some kind of disc disruption or injury; tight muscles surrounding the lower back including the glutes; and lastly weak muscles that protect the lower back from the stress the golf swing causes.</p>
<p>Strengthening the glutes, lower back and even hip muscles will give you much better protection from injury while on the course. These back exercises do not require a gym, nor even equipment. Many of these exercises are done just using your body weight and nothing more.</p>
<p>The key to reducing and eliminating back pain is consistency with your back strength exercises. You get out of it what you put into it. If you&#8217;re consistent, you&#8217;ll see impressive results; if you&#8217;re not, you will be dealing with the same low back problems as before.</p>
<p>Back Stretching Exercises</p>
<p>Stretching exercises for your back should focus on similar muscles as in the strength section above. A muscle that is improved from a strenth AND flexibily standpoint will consistently avoid the low back injury/pain syndrome.</p>
<p>The glutes, lower back area and hips will be the focus with your back stretching program. Releasing these muscles via stretching will give you almost instant relief from low back pain. It&#8217;s amazing what little bit of stretching will do.</p>

<p>You know what it feels like when out of the blue your back suddenly seizes in debilitating pain and it&#8217;s all you can do to keep from falling to the floor. That&#8217;s what acute back pain is, a sudden sharp and severe intense pain that comes on unexpectedly and quickly. This is unlike chronic back pain which is more continuous or constant. Fortunately there are ways to find relief for acute back pain that will help the symptoms until you can get proper medical treatment.</p>
<p>For anyone who has suffered acute back pain you know how difficult it can make everyday tasks. This type of pain is normally caused by some sort of injury to the back but can also be caused by other chronic conditions that have been left untreated. It is the type of pain that is hard to ignore and the best advice anyone can give it to schedule an appointment with your doctor to get the right treatment.</p>
<p>There are several things you can do for back pain relief before you see your doctor or even while you are letting your back heal. The most important thing to do is to try and keep your spine in a neutral position at all times. This means you want to keep the natural curvature of the spine intact. You can do this by using a lumbar role when sitting and by making a conscious effort to avoid slouching. When sitting it is also a good idea to use an ergonomically designed chair that offers good support. Avoid &#8220;comfy&#8221; furniture that is soft and offers little support as this can actually cause the pain to worsen.</p>
<p>If you need to drive or ride in a car there are a couple of things you can do to make the ride less painful. The lumbar role that you use around the house can also be used in the car to keep you spine in a neutral position. If you are driving consider moving the seat back to make you arms straighter when holding the steering wheel. This keeps the whole body in a more upright posture relieving the stress on your back.</p>
<p>Making the injury worse is the last thing you want to do if you are looking for back pain relief. Lifting anything heavy, or even a light load, should be avoided to keep from further aggravating the problem. Another thing you don&#8217;t want to do is sleep on a soft bed as it will not support the back and lengthen the healing process.</p>
<p>That is the key to any type of back pain relief from an injury or other condition, giving it a chance to heal. Of all the parts of the body the back can take an inordinate amount of time to heal. Trying to rush back into your old routine will only make the problem worse and take that much longer to get better.</p>
